Chicken Spice Rubbed - Pan Roasted Catfish

  • 4 catfish fillets, 6-ounces each
  • 3 tablespoons Rub with Love Chicken Rub
  • 3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil, as needed
  • Poppyseed Coleslaw (optional, see additional recipe)


  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Meanwhile, pat the Chicken Rub all over both sides of the catfish fillets.
  3. Allow the catfish to rest 5 minutes.
  4. Heat the oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Panfry the catfish on one side until golden, about 3 or 4 minutes.
  6. Turn the fillets over and put the pan in the oven until the fish is just cooked through, about 3 or 4 minutes more.
