Ingredients
1 block extra firm tofu
6 Tablespoons Peri Peri Rub
1 Tablespoon olive oil
Chili flakes (optional)
Salad fixings - we recommend red onions, cucumbers, celery leaves, parsley, feta cheese, dill, mint,. lemony Greek yogurt
Directions
- Drain excess liquid from extra firm tofu by stacking a few plates on top and refrigerate for 4 hours. Remove and pat dry.
- Slice the tofu lengthwise into 3‘steaks’.
- Sprinkle 2 Tablespoons of ’Rub with Love’ Peri Peri on each steak for an even coating.
- Preheat a non-stick pan over medium high heat with 1 Tablespoon olive oil (add optional chili flakes for extra heat).
- Saute steaks approx. 4 minutes to a golden brown, turn and finish cooking (approx. 4 minutes).
- Drain excess oil on paper towel.
- Layer Greek yogurt (season with lemon juice, salt & pepper),Tofu steak and top with salad items.
