¼ c sunflower seeds

¼ c pepitas

¼ c flax seeds

¼ c sesame seeds

2 tablespoons ‘Rub with Love’ Roast Rub - lightly pulsed in a spice grinder or crushed in a mortar/pestle

1 teaspoon flake sea salt (more or less to taste)

Toast seeds in a dry pan or in the oven at 350°F until fragrant, just a couple minutes. Mix with spice blend and salt.

Dukkah is a Middle Eastern inspired condiment that uses spices and a blend of seeds and/or nuts which you can use to crust meats, sprinkle on a salad or roasted vegetables, or, as we use it at the Dahlia- as a dip for bread after being mixed with some olive oil. Roast rub fits well here because the large spices give big pops of flavor, but feel free to experiment with different rubs, spices, nuts and seeds to make your own special blend.
